How Your Donations Make a Difference
We are a group of Mead area residents who are passionate about saving the rich history of Mead and the surrounding historic communities. We use your donations to help fulfill our mission of preserving our rich past and present. This includes growing our archives, restoring our historic Ditch Rider/Mead family cabin, developing a historic designation program, and educating area residents about our local history and how it is important to everyone who lives and/or loves this area.
To achieve these goals, we are dependent on donations from individuals, businesses, grants, and through fundraising. We have no paid staff. Everyone who works for us is a volunteer, so 100% of your donation goes toward fulfilling our mission. How many charities that you donate to can say that? Please consider contributing to us today. Our history and community thanks you!

Ways to Support the Mead Area Historical Society
We can only continue our diligent work with your help. Whether you would like to donate for yourself, or as a gift honoring a friend or loved one, our promise is to put your donations to their best and highest purpose.
The easist and most painfree way to donate is to connect you King Soopers/Kroger Loyality card to us. Everytime you spend money at one of their stores, they donate a small portion to us.
There is no expense to you. You shop as usual at King Soopers (Kroger), and each quarter, they give us a percentage of what you spent. Easy peezy.
Oh, and another thing, it is anonymous. We do not know who has connected their loyalty to us. We are told how many people have connected their cards, but nothing more. So you can donate and not worry about us contacting you asking for more. To link you card go here for the instructions. Thank you so much for your support.
Contribute to our Archives
Do you have ephemera, documents, photos, or any other items just taking up space? Don't sell or toss them! Donate them to us. We are building our archives, one piece of paper and artifact at a time.
Your donation may be tax deductible.

Donate to the Ditch Rider/Mead Family Cabin Fund
Sadly, in the process of moving this tiny, but valuable piece of our history, the cabin sustained unrepairable damage and had to be demolished.
Parts of the cabin were salvaged and are saved. Perhaps sometime in the future, if we have a museum it will include an exhibit honoring this lost piece of our history.
