Discovering Pearl Howlett School

The Pearl Howlett School was once located  just north of the intersection of Weld County Roads 32 and 13. Sometime in the late 1940s, it joined the Mead Consolidated school district. The building was moved to the Mead School and used for overflow classrooms until the late 1960s, when the St. Vrain school district tore the Mead Consolidated School building down. The Pearl Howlett school building was acquired by the the owner of Boulder Scientific and moved to his property on WCR 7. After his death several years ago, the building was torn down to make way for improvements to the Boulder Scientific property.
